This statement turned not only the country but the whole world on its head. Fans of “Our Chemical Romance” were staggered by the news. They couldn't believe that Gerardo was associated with such malevolent people. For many, their fanaticism outweighed reason, and they didn't believe a word of the brother-in-law's testimony.

The judge didn't believe it either, as the photo had disappeared. According to the accused, he had burned it because it was highly compromising. Without any further evidence to defend themselves, the judge reached a conclusion. Everyone involved in Gerardo Road's defamation was sentenced to several years in prison, along with hefty compensation for damaging the artist's reputation.

Though they managed to evade charges in the murder of Lucius's family, this was the final nail in the coffin for the political careers of all involved, especially Robert Belt. He wouldn't just go to jail. He would never be allowed to hold political office again. People viewed him as a charlatan, an envious man. Fans of the singer wanted him dead for tarnishing their idol's image.

While he wasn't seen as a murderer, he was seen as an accomplice to a heinous crime against a child. Another group that didn't ger forgiveness were Robin's family. they weren't exempt from defamation lawsuits. While they received reduced sentences for cooperating in the trial against Robert, the general public, especially Gerardo's fans, didn't view them favorably.

Not a day passed without the family waking up to insults scrawled on the exterior walls of their home or people shouting insults at them on the street.

As for Gerardo, he returned to his normal life. People loved him even more than before. He was invited back to interview shows, where he recounted how challenging the whole situation had been.

--- Although I can sleep peacefully knowing that people know the truth, I'm more careful about what I do and say now. --- Gerardo told the interviewer. --- It's a smart tactic. I wouldn't want to anger deranged politicians either. --- he said, prompting laughter in the room.

---After seeing what the mayor did, I think many will stop voting for left-wing politics. --- the interviewer's statement made Gerardo uncomfortable. --- I believe so. And now that you mention it, I'm glad I managed to rile up a left-wing politician. --- Gerardo responded, settling into his seat. ---Wow, that sounded provocative. There must be a lot of people foaming at the mouth and many others chuckling maliciously right now. --- the interviewer laughed again. ---Come on. Tell us, why do you prefer to annoy leftists? ---

--- It's not that I want to annoy politicians from any side. I annoyed a left-wing one, and he tried to ruin my career --- Gerardo said, adjusting in his seat. ---If I had annoyed a right-wing one, I would've ended up dead in a ditch right away. ---
