Immortality's benefits are also extremely understated, though; not just its defects.

Infinite life also means infinite power:
If you cannot die, your body would no longer have limits. For example, no death via aging means that you would never stop growing. Not stopping growth would mean that you could essentially evolve (Even if you don't believe in evolution, infinite physical improvement would basically be the same thing, but faster, so it's irrelevant) without breeding, leading to the capability of doing absolutely anything that's possible. Because of the fact that the one in question is already immortal, obviously granting others immortality would have to be possible in this scenario; meaning that being immortal would have to come with the (at least eventual) ability to grant immortality to others.

Even if there was no infinite growth, there would be infinite knowledge, understanding and skill. These three combined, (once again, due to being immortal yourself, the possibility is undeniable) would also give you another opportunity to grant others the same immortality.

I could go on for hours, but I think I've made my point; if you're immortal, and you don't want something to happen, you can bloody well stop it from happening.

immortals doesn't have infinite power, they are like mortals, only that they can't die, and they don't make other people immortal, even if they have children they only going to be half inmortal, that doesn't guarantees that they will last forever, maybe in they long life they get a lot of know, but at the end they get tired of living, imagine life when there is no planets or stars, the only way that an inmortal life happy is with another inmortal, knowing that theirs children would believe in "free love" or incest, if there no another inmortals round there, well that happends a log time ago, read the life of gengis khan, thanks to him we don't really know who are family and who are strange, but moving to the principal theme, if someone, (i believe in evolution by the way) offer to me inmortality i would say no, and you?

Did you not read a word of my explanation? If any one thing can be made infinite, it means that whoever has it can make absolutely anything else infinite.

If mortals did live infinitely and without the restrictions that come with aging, they could eventually do ABSOLUTELY ANYTHING.

They aren't limited in their time, so they could easily find a way to give their immortality to others within their lifespan.
If humanity died before that happened, they could devote their unlimited time to finding a way to reverse time (or re-create humanity itself), and thus it wouldn't matter if humanity died before they figured it out.
Because of the fact that matter and energy can neither be created nor destroyed, you can't even make the argument that the materials would eventually be gone, as it's physically impossible for that to happen.

There simply isn't a chance for it to not be entirely beneficial. It's not like dying yourself will prevent others' deaths; heck, it could only extend them.
You'd have to be stupidly pessimistic not to realize that if you had an infinite amount of time to think about it.

Second: i was thinking my text me while i was writing it
Third: it's like a poem, no sense and no matter because they are words that make think a person

fourth: i thought you was extending my "poem" if i can called in that way because i don't it was a good one and i don't make that all the time, only when i'm really bored, i know about physic, and i know that inmortality is almost imposible, if we don't pay attention to the jellyfish, they are really immortals while others animals don't kill they, and that of the "energy can neither be created or destroyed" it was wrong, just think about the antimatter, they broke the isaac newton conservation of energy law and the labosier conservation of matter law too, no one of the scientists observed the antimatter in the space, but the theory is too solid to ignore it for complete, so, think before tipe as linux tell to the user when he/she use "sudo" for first time, and, if you don't end of read my before reply, at he end, i wrote a irrelevant and funny thing, you have t listen to that song, it's called: ode to a superhero, it's about spiderman
