Excellent design. I own a 7th and 4th generation Celica myself, as I became a big Celica fan when I first saw the 7th gen in the flesh. I think this is a good representation of what the car would have looked like if Toyota continued to make it.
I've made a few sketches of a 'new' Celica, but I completely fail at rendering in Photoshop!

really have always sorta been a fan of the celica, so, just a little facelift, nothing super interesting, but id like to see it brought back,
pretty predictable super-car kit eh?
still tossing some ideas around in my head to get it more interesting.

it's basically just styling.......My 2nd year prof made me realize this, after a project or two... A good design does more than just remaking an existing thing. He's always telling us to come up with new things, things that don't exist. They may not be good ideas, but at least it's not just doing the same thing over and over again.
Like if we look at car body design at a BROAD design fundamental point of view, they all look the same...

oh yeah, i totally agree with that,
definitely the best way to look at design, new keep people on top,
it can also crash and burn,
but thats what design is about,
stepping out of the norm, thinking outside the box.
i just like to occasionally pull old models i like that were discontinued, and try to drum up what they might look like more recently,
not something i do all the time,
