Description
I really needed to draw something simple and lighthearted again. And I really felt like drawing unicorns... so yeah. Not much more to say.Colored pencils on black cardstock.

These are awesome, I love them all! I have to say I love the far right-hand one best though, the colours are beautiful and the contrast just makes it stand out.

Yeah, I was surprised at quite how much drawing I'd done in the last year or so. Haven't found it all yet either. It's nice to feel like I actually want to draw again though, I'd missed that feeling.
*grin* I shouldn't worry, I do the same thing. Procrastination can be practically an art form in itself sometimes!

I love unicorns so much. It's been a very long thing since I've drawn them. Must try my hand at drawing them again. All 3 of these lovelies are going into my

Those are beautiful, I really love the one in the middle and the black one reminds me of the unicorn in Tanith Lee's Black Unicorn series

You must excuse my ignorance but I've never heard of those books. Are they a good read?

Yes, it was the first Tanith Lee series I ever read and I loved them. There are three books: Black Unicorn, Gold Unicorn and Red Unicorn. And it is best to read them in order for the first book sets up much of the plot and course of events in the following two books.
Tanith Lee is a master both in description and symbolism and they are well worth the read.

That was actually the one I struggled with the most where the pose and background were concerned. The final version kind of... just happened finally XD

Always a treat to see more art from you
I'm definitely favoring the middle one. The idea of a little baby unicorn emerging from a lotus flower is just too creative. I'd love to see a larger picture exploring this concept further.

These are gorgeous. I love the line of the back and tail of the first one, the tiny unicorn in the 2nd one, and the pose and horn on the 3rd one. Wonderful.

These are so pretty! I want to say, "Oh, this one is my favorite," but as soon as I start to say that, I look at the other two and find things I like about them equally as well. So I guess they're all my favorite.
