I think the leaves, blossoms and branches look great, and the detail on the birds is lovely also. But to my eyes what's holding the piece back is the birds look a little flat. Almost like a cardboard cut out of a bird. D: I think giving them some more shadow under the tail feathers and maybe a little more on the faces might help a bit, if you have any intention to work more. But its still a nice piece ^^

I totally agree the whole painting looks somewhat dull! I have been tweaking it, and I will continue to as I have time, but in the meanwhile on to other things Thanks for taking the time to comment and for the critique, I appreciate it

You are so right I just for some reason got impatient with it and left it kind of naked I will continue to tweak it as I have time, I knew it wasn't that great when I uploaded it, but , maybe I just wanted to see if anyone would tell me it wasn't that good, and am happy to report that I have gotten quite a few good critiques!!

Oh man, Miss Judylee! I absolutely love this painting. The expression on the birds' faces are just great and the detail on the feathers is absolutely superb. I love the colors and I like the background too.. I thought it gave your painting a nice feel to it. Anyway, awesome job.. you definitely need to keep this out of scraps!
