I'd need a win 10 machine for that unfortunately. Or I'd need someone to be kind enough to port it for me.

This looks amazing, love the colors! Would have loved a dark version too with windows, menu, in that dark/grey blue you used instead of white.
Big thanks for making it for windows 7, Β really hard to find good ones for the good ol 7!

Thanks mate! That's a pretty good idea for a darker version. It should be easy to make too, I'll let you know when I finish it. And no problem, I like to provide some resources for those of us a little behind everyone else haha

Thank you! That would be because I only have a windows 7 machine and so I can't make themes for windows 10.

Mate, what browser do you use? Firefox? If so, which theme is best to use?
π: 0 β©: 1
juiceboxxxxxx In reply to LinkinDnB [2016-07-27 04:05:39 +0000 UTC]
I use chrome, but I don't usually use it in screenshots because it doesn't play nice with some themes. Normally I use opera if I put a browser in a screenshot, but I have used Firefox as well. My shot Not This Time uses Firefox that I customized for my own use. Firefox is nice to customize if you can code a little bit.
Sorry a bit of a long response. But tl;dr Firefox is the easiest to customize, but I don't use it that much.
The best theme is from cathycatchy from Unity. That's the one I base my own themes on.

Hey! I have unfortunately heard this issue from a few people. It appears the problem comes from Customizer God. My friend I-Am-Not has figured out that changing the start orb with Customizer God before changing the theme to Midnight will allow you to maintain the start menu functionality. You can see I-Am-Not and I's conversation a few comments below if you want more details. Hopefully this helps.

Hmm, I'm unfortunately not sure how to fix this issue. I thought I had it solved previously when I updated the files, but I guess not. You could try applying the default aero theme, restarting your computer, applying the start orb, then applying midnight again.

I had the same issue, the culprit is actually the search icon, when you change the search icon the Start menu stops working, since there is a search dialogue on there. I'm not sure what the reason for it to stop working is but that's why it's happening. Restoring the search icon on CustomizerGod is an instant fix.

Wow thank you so much for discovering this friend! I will update the description immediately with this new info. Once I get back to my main computer I can try to figure out what's wrong with the search icon.

Also, in your image your taskbar only shows the time, on mine it seems to show both the time and date for some reason, even on small icons view? I think it looks better as just the time.Β i.imgur.com/ZI1p4jG.jpg Is there a reason why mine is different?

juiceboxxxxxx In reply to Elemunt [2016-12-21 17:14:53 +0000 UTC]
I've noticed this in a few screenshots sent to me of people using my theme. My best guess is my use of MacType (might be MacTray) that I use to provide better font rendering on Windows. This may make the font slightly larger and thus cause the OS to think the time and date are too large to fit and thus only draw the time.

Elemunt In reply to juiceboxxxxxx [2016-12-21 18:07:31 +0000 UTC]
Default windows is meant to show only the time, so I think it's the theme that changes it, odd little niggle. Beautiful theme though!

juiceboxxxxxx In reply to Elemunt [2016-12-22 17:32:55 +0000 UTC]
Then I would assume it is the slightly decreased font size in the taskbar that's causing the display of the full date. However, because my system is also running the font smoother, it displays as just the time again. Unfortunately I'm away from home for the holidays and so I can't test my hypothesis.
And of course, thanks for the kind words, I'm glad you enjoy the theme.

Thanks for the critique and kind words! I do agree that the font is a bit light for daily use, and thus when I do work on my home computer I change the theme. Otherwise, I like the theme and generally run it in conjunction with the litestep to get the full setup. Perhaps a darker text version would be a good addition.

Hello, thank you for this gorgeous theme! I've been looking forward to using it. I may have downloaded an old copy however, because the start menu stopped working. Should I just download the file again and retry? Sorry for the bother!
π: 0 β©: 1
juiceboxxxxxx In reply to I-Am-Not [2016-06-08 04:30:21 +0000 UTC]
No problem friend! Hmm, yea I would try downloading again to get the start menu working again. If it still doesn't work, let me know. And it's no problem, it's not a bother at all!

I-Am-Not In reply to juiceboxxxxxx [2016-06-08 11:41:04 +0000 UTC]
Hm, it stopped working again after I changed the start orb with customizergod, so I guess 'neutral.rc' isn't the problem. I'm going to try changing the orb before I change the theme and see how that works out. Anyway, I'm happy to be using it now!
π: 0 β©: 1
juiceboxxxxxx In reply to I-Am-Not [2016-06-08 20:42:56 +0000 UTC]
Well that's not good. I think it might be customizer god then unfortunately. I did have any issues before using that program if I remember correctly. However, I don't want to bash kishan-bagaria before I can be certain. I do have an older version of a start orb changer by kishan-bagaria that has worked just fine in the past. If you want I can send that over to you if you'd like to try.
Let me know how your experiment works out for you.

I-Am-Not In reply to juiceboxxxxxx [2016-06-08 11:36:50 +0000 UTC]
Oh it works! I'm not sure if it's because I deleted a file called 'Neutral.rc' in the theme folder or not. I noticed it was there when comparing the first time I downloaded and the second time. But either way, it's all good now. Thank you!
