hello hello!! i decided to put my rat in maple-academy, i hope he's ok!! i wasn't sure if i could include other species' aside from human for my character, but i read that characters can be from other galaxies?? so i thought making him a demon would be okay, but please tell me if i'm wrong and i'll edit his application!!!!

ALSO I MADE HIM BEFORE REALISING THERE WAS SO MANY SPANISH PEOPLE IN THE GROUP HAHA hispanics lets go!

upon first meeting him, valentino comes across as heartless. without any regard to other people's feelings, the boy does not care whether you trip on his words or get upset at him for what he does, constantly on his high horse; supercilious in the way he thinks, knowing that he's better than people and lets his pride get to his head. [but hey! treating everyone equally like shit makes him impartial, right?] blunt, he says whatever is on his mind [and desperately needs a filter], letting his brain do the talking for him, in spite of how hurtful and brutally honest he can be. for some strange reason, valentino is also exceedingly petty, finding something as little as saying the wrong words insulting and will rat people out for it, vindictive and vengeful — "you really want to mess with me..?" — though he wouldn't throw hands, not being one to stir up needless violence. only threats and insults.

his countenance remains lethargic; almost dead, without any sign of life or energy. as though he can only express [atmost] three emotions, valentino does not wear his feelings as if it were a badge [but rather an unsightly stained shirt] and shows a large lack of enthusiasm. in fact, this could be applicable to his personality too, not being an expressive individual; impassive and without feeling. there come many occasions where he strangely becomes more emotional though, unpredictable to the core when he either laughs at your joke or spits in the direction of the same one.

something which doesn't change though is his dry, satirical humour. sarcastic in disposition, valentino [in a poor attempt to lighten up the mood] has the tendency to point out others wrongdoings and turns it into a joke, wry and sometimes quite meanspirited. although his intentions aren't bad at heart, it's not a surprise that he'll leave a sour taste in others mouths from his hilarity.

while he means well, his communication skills [when he wants to be nice to someone for a change] absolutely suck. socially awkward, he just can't seem to find something to talk about, nor keep a conversation ongoing for longer than 5 minutes, leaving a bitter silence whenever his presence is apparent. it's hard for valentino to make friends but it may stem from being accustomed to feeling alone. he is independent and doesn't feel the need to let someone spoon feed him. or maybe this is also due to his obstinate nature, not willing to change his opinion on what he believes in and hates being in the wrong; stubborn [and childish even!] — "or it's maybe due to the fact that i'm just so much better than everyone else."

but deep down, valentino is benevolent. despite not knowing this himself, he truly does care for the people that stick with him on the inside and although it's subtle, the boy does become more kind to those closest to his heart. however, his pride always bites him back at the ass and wouldn't admit to it. — "are you looking down on me?" — valentino is shrewd; to both the people he knows and doesn't, sharp-witted and has [usually] correct judgement on things including personality shifts or if someone feels down. though not acting upon this knowledge, he is usually perceptive and would try cracking more [futile] jokes as a pathetic way to lighten up someone's mood.

while he intimidates others a lot, he doesn't really do anything. actually, he is quite composed most of the time [of course not accounting for the times he wants to start something] and keeps his expression blank; void of extreme emotion like fear or anger, usually sporting either his neutral expression or a smug one. on good days he keeps his feelings at bay and under control, not losing himself to anger. and so the empty threats come pouring, but when push comes to shove he will take action and is definitely not someone you can walk all over.
