Her name comes form the word "Mania"

As a child, Hermania had noticed that many of the previous queen's spells were basic and not very strong. So, she made a promise to herself that she would become the most powerful queen. When getting her wand at 14, she learned all of the previous spells in 3 days. And when creating spells, she made them very complicated and powerful. She was also extremely smart and enjoyed learning about Mewni's History. For along time after her death, she would keep the title of "Most Powerful Queen" until Eclipsa would become more powerful. (And later Star)

"Side Note" Her personality is based off of Hermione Granger from Harry Potter.
