Leafy Sea Dragon

This summer, the versatility of water will be shown in an art project "Wonder Water", in which I participate with a number of paintings and drawings, including this painting of
the Leafy Sea Dragon. In my painting I take you into the wonderful world and the different appearances of the Leafy Sea Dragon.

This particular fish is one of the most gracefully
camouflaged creatures on the planet. Decorated with delicate, leaf-shaped appendages all over their bodies, they are perfectly equipped to blend in with the seaweed and kelp formations
in which they live. They can adapt their color to their habitat and are a good indicator of the quality of the water, because they turn darker to almost black if the water is of poor
quality. They live in a narrow strip along the coast of Australia and Tasmania and unfortunately they are often taken by divers who want to keep them as pets and also endangered by
environmental pollution and thus they are fully protected by the Australian government from the early 90's.
