Oh my , this is such a beautiful piece. May I ask what kind of techniques you used to lay down the fur please?
The title also really makes you stop and think. I absolutely loves seals , and always have done. I can't believe that some people can be so cruel...

To explain the techniques of drawing the fur is difficult for me to explain. I drew the seal with coloured pencils on white paper and did the fur with small blue strokes in different nuances(darker blue for the shadows). I added some orange to indicate the reflection of the sunlight on the fur.

I asked as I heard before that sometimes cross-hatching your pencil strokes can actually create a 3D fur like effect , is this what you mean? I can understand how hard it can be to desribe things we do within our artworks sometimes , I think It's just something that you need to be shown in some cases

Yes, I'm too busy to be able to develop on my own things unfortunately, but that's because I always enjoy getting involved with other people, looking at their art, making suggestions for TAD and stuff like that! My own artwork is therefore rather limited to a poorer overall quality to how I'd really like it to be, and this does irritate me a lot!!!
