This picture provokes so much feeling!!! Trotting down a muddy road with the fine mist that hangs about after a heavy rainfall (rain could represent an emotional stirring, Family feud, something heavy playing in a downpour on the thoughts... yet absence of rain and a rolling misty haze = repression of traumatic thoughts that still linger) the lonely dog suggests abandonment. The trees behind him are like the shadowed figures he is trying to leave behind. The darkness at his feet and to the side of him suggests the unknown future and the fear that comes along with it. LOVE IT!!!

Timbuktu is a great novel of an american writter Paul Auster. its about a dogs life. very impressive story. when i saw this photo, i remembered it.
