Description A subadult Alioramus plays around trying to catch insects as the spring sun rises.

(That's presuming it is not a young Tarbosaurus)

Its refreshing to see dinosaur (especially a predator) doing something other than killing or some violent interaction
It's a big part of nature but it's not all they do
Theres so many interactions between them and other dinosaurs or even solitary activities like sleeping or drinking
Nice work

SO CUTE! This is the most adorable Alioramus I've seen. Β  Β

Rather than a weird, ugly Tyrannosaur with a crazy dewlap (as most reconstruct it). It is so much more than that. Β

I love it's facial expression, it's like it's smiling and full of joy. The pose really brings out this emotion too, and the over exposed colors really amplifies the settings emotion.

As a Dino-lover, this really grabs me, and hits a nostalgic ring.

I've never heard of an Alioramus. But it looks like it's part of the Tyrannosaur family. The face... the tiny arms.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Julio-Lacerda In reply to equigoyle [2013-02-10 23:47:15 +0000 UTC]

Yes, it's a little asian cousin of Tyrannosaurus. (Or a juvenile Tarbosaurus, it depends on who you ask!)

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

equigoyle In reply to Julio-Lacerda [2013-02-11 04:56:20 +0000 UTC]

So it's like the nanotyrannus deal; he's either his own species or a juvenile Tyrannosaurs Rex.

And just on a side note, I'm no paleontologist by any means, but when I look at images of the skull, to me, Nannotyrannus does not look like an adult animal. I think it is a juvenile T-Rex.

πŸ‘: 1 ⏩: 1

Julio-Lacerda In reply to equigoyle [2013-02-11 14:21:30 +0000 UTC]

Most researches do agree that the Nanotyrannus specimen is not an adult. The question is, what it looked like when fully grown

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

equigoyle In reply to Julio-Lacerda [2013-02-12 02:08:50 +0000 UTC]

That's true. I watched the program Dinosaurs Decoded produced by National Geographic, and that's where they hinted at the possibility that Nanotyrannus was a juvenile T-Rex. It was very interesting.
