# About me
**4-5-12: This little bio is old, soon I'll be writing up a new version, but I've been very busy in Indy Game development.**Well I consider myself a Meight, (it's a Five Star Stories term for mecha creator, among other things.) My dream job would being a mecha designer for anime, or even manga. hopefully I'll get to make a living off it.
my mentor (though he doesn't realize it) is Mamoru Nagano. to me, he's a huge inspiration, he's a writer, a concept artist spanning many different design fields, and a musician, and i find his diversity empowering.
i started off drawing evangelions in 98... (more or less), and did so till '06 cause i was frustrated that i couldn't express myself. so studied gundam and then in summer 07, i decided to study Mortar Headds, and found a gold mine of info that could not be found in books... or at least, none that i've seen.
i love japanese mecha... i think it's become a problem XD. i see a robot and i want to play with it. too bad they cost pretty pennies XD. personally, i like to joke about it and say i'm a mecha junkie. seriously i LOVE mecha 83

Things have been rather mellow in terms of Art, however today I got a job designing Mecha for Sector 13 Studios! 83.. SOOOOooo Expect a lot more Mecha -FINISHED Mecha in the coming weeks.
It's been a little hectic at the homestead, as well as my day job, but that's nothing new.
How about you?

this may sound kinda random; but after reading the manga & watching the movie, I gotta say I found my Top 5 (in terms, of aesthetic quality) :
Auge
Engage Octaver
pink LED Mirage (B-type)
Bang Doll
KoG

LOL. I've got a ton I like too, but I haven't made a top 5 yet XD. Thank you for sharing
Oddly, the only Tri De Colus MHs I like is the Berlin. I'm not really a fan of the Engage Octavers, or even Junchoon. Something about their style doesn't appeal to me.
The Auge is good, though I tend to prefer the MM Auge.
Yea, the Mighty Beta is pretty sweet, but I think I prefer the old Bang Doll to it.
Where did you read the rest of the stor? I have all the english books, and I can only find incomplete scan-lations on the net for the equivalent of book 27 and I'd really like to finish the story.

MM Auge rocks! by the way, there are 27 chapters? I thought there were only 26--[link]

sledgeviper In reply to Aellostriker2 [2013-07-03 11:06:36 +0000 UTC]
Nope, there's more. Like 2-6 equivalent for english readers, cause I think there's 2 more japanese books, which is roughly 2-3 english books.

Thank you, to you as well
I look forward to your future creations.
Incidently, if your interested in an inexpensive but HIGHLY durable tablet/laptop PC, then check out the Fujitsu Lifebook T series (I use a T5010), this model can be found on ebay between $100-400. While the graphics card isn't very good (not fit for modern gaming)the rest of its specs are standard despite it being over 6 years old. Check out ebay to nab one at a good price. I tend to prefer to color digitally, and draw Traditionally.

The spec: Core i3 3217U 1.8Ghz, 14β HD Color Shine, 4GB DDR3, 500GB, Nvidia Geforce GT635M 2GB, DVDRW, Camera, Wifi, Bluetooth, Card Reader, Non OS

Nice specs, curious that the processor is so outdated. The NVidia is a real sweet spot.
Though the Fujitsu lifebook T5010 processors are Intel core Duo 2 2.4ghz, Intel GMA 4500MHD video-card (lame). I've looked inside and I think the video cards can be removed (I've been researching.)Another nice thing about the T5010, is that it's display can rotate both ways in a complete 180 turn.

that's why i give u suggestion with that model ^^, dont forget it's have warranty too

HMmmmm That WOULD be interesting if it came to be true. Sadly, I'd have no one to play it with (unless it was online)cause I'm literally the only person out of all my friends that likes FSS, let alone Mecha.
Thanks for sharing

MMmm tough call. It's familiar pic from the gears online FSS Background pic with some typography, I'd prefer it to have a little more artistic touch. But I suppose so, so the game gets some attention too.

Hello! i love your design style and being a fellow mecha creator i was wondering how long it typically takes you to come up with a single design from scratch? It normally takes me about 2 to 3 hours to come up with somthing in which i think all the parts fit and flow together right.

Well that's odd...I thought I've been watching you all this time. Time to rectify that!
Good to see you still going at it, SV, and I hope to see more MH designs from you in the future. And of course, thanks for being a part of the mecha community here.

LOL! I know that feeling
Yes, you should be seeing MH and MS being completed regularly now. There's a ton of designs to finish, and they need some TLC before I get any more new concepts popping in my head.

Nice =J
Yea... My LED MIrage is a First edition Wave Plastic Injection Kit, in the Red Box, saying "Easter Mirage Corps" with the metal hands ;D... Nice though, those were damn good kits for their time. Certainly better than anything Bandai made for Gundam at that time.
Lately, I wanna get my hands on the IMS kits, Inner frame, wide motion-range, great proportioning... No need to paint them. Mmmmmm~... I wish I had some money to burn, I'd love a Prominence Siren, or a Jagd Mirage.

Injection kits? Hope those things don't require glue or any sort of thingamajig to put the assorted parts together.
π: 0 β©: 1
sledgeviper In reply to RyugaSSJ3 [2013-03-17 20:35:54 +0000 UTC]
LOL, they're so old-school, they DO require glue ;D

AWWW NUTZ!!! Now I have to painstakingly go back to school and take a simple chloroform to fix this jibbers up.

sledgeviper In reply to RyugaSSJ3 [2013-03-18 23:51:07 +0000 UTC]
If you can, try to get Testors Non-Toxic glue (it smells like oranges,) or a super-glue that doesn't frost or produce a smell (they do exist, I have some.) That is, IF you want to build those kits without being irritated by nasty glue-fumes.
Super glue bonds strongly, but the glue it's self isn't very tough and cracks and crumbles easily, unless you mix a powder into it. The Testors glue is also a little weak, which can be good cause it means if you use too much, the parts won't warp.

sledgeviper In reply to RyugaSSJ3 [2013-03-31 07:15:58 +0000 UTC]
heheh
That's cause it took bandai nearly 10 years to come up with Snap-together kits... And because Bandai has an epic tenure with hobby kits, any other kit company prior during that time didn't have them. Though Wave stayed alive because of their high quality casting for Exotic Designs... *cough cough* (like that Vatshu you have..., or an LED mirage...) Such ornate, and sharp casting and sculpting was very expensive back in the late 80's early 90's. The early Plastic Injection kits for the Wave FSS designs costed $300 and up... Heh... How much did you pay for that Vatshu?... ;D
Now Wave has a new Plastic Injection (IP) FSS MH kit called IMS, and the sculpting is jaw dropping... Every MH has an inner frame, colored plastic... And fairly affordable considering their old price tag... The IMS kits run $80+
Git sum tape for masking off the parts you glued so you don't leave finger-glue prints ;D

RyugaSSJ3 In reply to sledgeviper [2013-03-31 09:53:24 +0000 UTC]
I didn't pay for the Vatshu nor the Junchoon owned by that cool guy in the series. I stated that I will get them if I got the allowance needed and they cost like...1/3 of a $300 each so it will be happy hunting for me,man.
A new FSS MH kit called IMS? What's that stand for?
π: 0 β©: 1
sledgeviper In reply to RyugaSSJ3 [2013-04-02 03:51:23 +0000 UTC]
Sorry, I got my kit companies mixed up, it's Volks thats makes the IMS kits, not Wave. [link]
IMS stands for Injected Mortar Series.
Also, I got mixed up from a previous question, I'm fairly certain your Vatshu requires gluing, and I also know there have been reproductions of the 2nd-wave Injected Plastic FSS Wave kits and the newer ones have more modernised construction... Ie, either a new part, or improved mobility, I admit I'm a little fuzzy on the details. Gearsonline.net FSS forum would know more than me. I've even heard rumor that the IMS kits require gluing, but also have some snap-on parts. Again, it's been a long time and I don't have an IMS kit...yet.
