Description Now comes the dawn,
Moons falling below a thousand horizons,
Universal the wistful lunar songs in alien skies.

Alien eyes are watching
The rising of alien suns, praising they are with alien
Tongues, hands raised in foreign salute

To welcome the new day. They love those
Alien hills, run those alien plains,
Rejoice in that alien shade.

O Philistine, do you not love these hills
And these plains and these shade-trees
That are your own, your home?

O man of tense brow, do you not
Hear the songs of your fellows,
Will you not love the land that is yours?

O land lovely, the love of Patria
I fear is a thing only I speak of
Sometimes.

Have you ever seen another DA poet write like he's read pastoral and loved it?

Not really, now that I think about it.
