Description
Solitude is waiting to be ended,It is an emptiness, a thing to be filled,
Tilled ground to be seeded,
Lovely country to be colonized,
A nice orchard.
It is the calm which bursts forth into
Ecstatic oneness, the calm which calls forth
From the sea Dukes and Italians and desposits them
On the shore to be
Taught or joined.
Solitude was meant to be filled,
A cup which calls for red wine
The womb which calls for fruit
A woman who whispers in the night
And shifts...
It is the red dawn before battle is joined
When a man can look up with a wild grin
And know that his glory is coming and not
Think at all of death or
The cost of things.
Solitude is the space between a man and his
Wife, the stillness of red sheets and
The slow spread of smiles and
A quiet moment being filled
The sound of silence leaving in peace, a prisoner to whispers
Planted in Solitude.

A lacuna is a hole, and I was thinking of lacunae in regards to activity, holes in the stream of movement and thought.
