Roaring, the Lion calls for day to die
And bring in the revelrous night
When men will feel the drums beat in their ears
And know fear.

Closer draws the man toward the light
As his shadow grows longer in revelrous night
Till it outgrows him and overhwlems him
In the noise.

Violent sings the hot blood that runs
In the veins of this man in revelrous night
As the feminine earth is calling him
To begin a cycle.

Smothering the smoke of the fire that burns
In the flesh mixed with the fear of revelrous night
Knowing that all sweetness is in the garden
He tries to forget.

Sorrowful is the beating of drums in the dark
That tear open the revelrous night
As man follows his bloody footprints back
Towards Eden.
