Description Pierluigi had a case of fin rot a time ago, and it ate his dorsal fin.
He is healthy now, but I am afraid despite medicine and treatment
the fin rot was too severe, so his fin will most likely never fully heal
again. It's such a shame. But he is happy and alert despite his torn
fin. And he is still very precious to me. My beautiful betta boy

I will try and get some fry's out of him as soon as I find a suiting lady.

Ugh, my veil tail has a chewing problem too. Your fella's fins will grow back. It may not be as even as before, but their tails do indeed grow back, sometimes quicker if you use a small dose of aquarium salt. Also, he's magnificent! Such stunning color!

I am still treating him with medicine. If it doesn't heal, at least she should not have
to go through another rot x3 Such a pain when the betta's tails is messed up.
Why thank you. I am very proud of his coloration

Yes, it is really frustrating. Especially with my Dante, his tail is so gorgeous.
And you should be, its obvious you take very good care of him.

A few of my fish had that, then it ended up healing but then they started biting their fins. It's so sad to see such pretty fish get things like that.

It truly is a hazard once they get fin rot. You know there is a great chance the fins
will never recover if treated successfully...
I myself have never had a male biting his fins, or I have just not witnessed it myself.

It's odd, because it's kind of an addictive habit. A couple of my fish started, and from time to time will nibble a bit of their fin off Still love them just the same though

That is strange. I am sure there is a reason why they are doing it, question remains what though :/
