I admit that I have rushed it... but I'll finish it and upload it again..

I just don't understand how people can shade a face and make it look this good! every time I try, it gets smudges some places, even when I use a tissue. Ahh, you definitely know how to!

well I make it too using a tissue.. never use the fingers on the draw.. that's why u may smudge it.

hmm.. try to make more layers.. to add a track pencil, then blend it with tissue, then add another layer with pencil and blend again. U don't have to obtain the result from the first layer. Because so your tracks may destroy your paper, you may push your pencil too hard. Just make layer after layer, with patience

how do you get the line so fine using mechanical pencil? is it .5 lead? and do you use negative space? anyways, I do admire your techniques and the concept

yep, I use 0.5 and 0.7 mechanical pencils. To smooth I use napkins, or tortilinios for small areas.
