Description
EDIT: I forgot Neta’s scars, that is fixed now.
Do you ever just feel so overwhelmed and exhausted by the time you finish a big piece and you have a major headache, to the point you loathe the finished product with every fiber of your being? Yeah… I know I’ll love it later, but I frickin hate that I can’t often enjoy something I just finished because that pride of completing something lasts so short, so I’ll never feel it. Ever. I still took things slow, of course, it took many days because of Sword’s stinking box braids. I never drew them before. It was easier than I thought, but that doesn’t mean it actually was easy. Because of those box braids, the tracked time on the file is 9 hours. 5,953 total strokes. I just want to rot and die.
But yeah, here is my winter-themed piece. Here are my versions of Sword Knight and Blade Knight unmasked (Meta Knight as well but a lot of you already know I made him a cute glasses nerd.) So, in my headcanon, Sword Knight and Blade Knight are half-brothers. Sword is a Snowfoot D’nno and Sand’nno hybrid, while Blade is a Snowfoot and Keke hybrid. He used to be part Common D’nno, but recently I decided he could use some cute kitty ears. His cat ears are inspired of the American Curl, a cat breed with long fur and curiously curled ears. Their father was in the GSA, a Snowfoot soldier named Rory Stuart. He was married to a purebred Sand’nno, a combat medic named Gillian. After they had Sword, Gillian died and Rory remarried, his new wife is a Keke named Evelyn. That’s where they had Blade.
When the GSA would be ultimately defeated and massacred by Nightmare’s victory, Sword and Blade would find them themselves stranded. They joined the Guild of Thieves, an organization of criminals to survive, but they ended up making some trouble with the boss, because their soldier blood made it hard for them to steal. They ran away, still struggling against skill and justice to steal to survive. Life was hard, they wanted it to end. Especially when Blade lost his eye and was left horribly sick without proper shelter and supplies, they made a vow that they would dedicate their lives to the first person to reach out a helping hand. That helping hand would come from Meta Knight, during his journey to find the true prophesied hero in Dream Land. Meta Knight not only gave them a home, but gave them a chance to make a good name for themselves; being granted knighthood.
I gave Sword a Doctor Who scarf in here, mostly for my whovian sister. Also, Sword being British and having good taste in many things, he strikes me as a whovian, too. Whovians is what Doctor Who fans are called.
