I can imagine Spike may like it at first, but when it's going too far, he is going to feel uncomfortable. I've seen several love stories like this before when the boyfriend see that as a blessing until it becomes an annoyance but not a curse.

Of course, IF Sweetie Belle can distract Rarity for the potion to wear off. Considering she's a mite punier than Rarity, that's gonna be hard for Sweetie to stop Rarity going "Goo-goo ga-ga" over Spike.
And Spike is another obstacle altogether, so yeah, the poor filly's got a tough challenge ahead.
