Description Tyrannohydrurga carnifex is large and muscular, with a dark grey back and light grey/white on its stomach. Females are slightly larger than the males. The overall length of this seal is 5m.
They are the top predator of the oceans and hunt almost every marine animal. They have no natural predators.

I was fooling around with a planet seeded with all sorts of Mesozoic life, and I designed an semi-aquatic polar tyrannosaurid with the same name, what a coincidence! I've always thought leopard seals looked something like a bizarre marine theropod.

Yep, cetaceans went extinct but there are still some smaller shark species.
