Description
Here is what I came up with.I didn't do a full-body sketch this time, because I was more concerned about the head design at this point.
A full sketch will follow soon, I still have a few things to solve here.
I am thinking about making the tentacles "shorter" when at rest, and they could extend forward when in action.
I am affraid that a pair of "wriggly appendages" isn't the best thing to "cut through" water...

Aha... is this basic mouth design the "normal" mouth for most of your planet's critters? It looks very similar to the mouths on the other guys...

Yes. I have answered this question on your other comment, but the "neognathids" (the most "modern" lineage of the "vertebrates") has beak-like jaws and a pair of tentacles, one on each side of the beak. This is an outdated "concept art", this idea turned the tentacles into sideways opening "lips" that make the body more streamlined and still aid in feeding by "guiding" the prey item towards the toothed beak.

Thanks! they aren't really four jaws, only the "vertical" ones are solid, the "horizontal" ones are soft "tentacles". This is not the final design, this idea turned the tentacles to just "sheaths" or "lips" that open sideways, but the toothed "beak" opens up and down as "usually"

what do you mean? the jaws still open vertically, but are entirely covered by the two tentacles which "open" to the sides.
