This is one of my favorite geisha drawings. I love the colors and I love the pose, no matter HOW unrealistic it is.I think that as humans, we dance to forget, and we forget to be set free. We just want to let go. I know that this geisha hangs on my wall above my bed and when I look at her, I know that it will be okay, because life is hard, but we can still live it beautifully. . .even if we're in pain.
The black and the green hashstrokes were a bit of computer manipulation done thanks to Corel Paint Shop Pro. However, the geisha herself was hand-drawn with graphite pencil and then colored with Prismacolor pencils.
I hope you dance. . .even if it is to forget. . .

I love geisha's, I love the way they look/dress/act. Well, used to..Anyway, ever saw or read Memoirs of a Geisha? I own both book and movie

Yes. The book is fabulous and the movie was beautiful. I am more of a book person myself
