Description

The Institute is an advanced scientific organization in Equestrian Wasteland. It is known and feared( especially in the south)for its ability to produce advanced synthetic ponies (also known as synths) of high enough quality to pass as true ponies.

The Institute was born from the Canterlot Gifted Unicorns Institute, or CGUI, before the start of the war with Zebra Empire,it called School For Gifted Unicorns.A renowned university based in Can Bridge, Canterlot. Robert Horse attended it in his youth. During the Great War, a number of CGUI personnel survived by taking refuge in the underground level of the campus.

In the early years of this century, the survivors and their descendants founded the Institute, an organization dedicated to furthering pre-War science.
