This is really fantastic, nicely layered and shows off that cool coat sheen that horses have. I like how its not totally blended.

This experiment looks like it was successful! This is beautiful. I know that blue never occurs on a horse, but you make it look so natural! Awesome pose! There is a lot of movement. I always love your backgrounds, too. The layering in the rocks are super cool!

Are you so familiar with horses and their anatomy that you can just position them based on knowlege and experience or do you reference photos for each piece? One thing's for sure, when it comes to watercolors, you don't horse around.

I have an obsession with anatomy- I used to really dream of being a paleontologist, mostly I wanted to study prehistoric mammals. I started literally diggin up dead cattle and horses and playing with their bones. Sounds twisted but I really felt if I could draw whats on the inside- then I can easliy draw whats on the outside. I was a weird kinda little girl....

as for watercolors I am sooo still learning. I really want to take some classes, cause so far I am self taught and I am sure this ole dog can learn some new tricks.

You are so good at it. Honestly, I am so impressed by your skill and talent. Now I know why even your "simplest" art is so lifelike and realistic.

I dig paleontology. But I was too lazy and didn't want to bone up for the exams.
