Kallus has the same start to his story, and becomes an agent for the Empire. He leads Imperial forces against Lasan and murders most of its people, gaining himself a reputation for being ruthless. He seemed to enjoy the suffering of others and is a very favored pawn of the Empire. However, this time he also is responsible for destroying Ryloth, Killing Hera’s father, and taking the people and Hera as slaves for the Empire. He gains notice from people high up in command and is given Hera as a gift for his efforts. He isn’t kind to her and thinks that he deserves whatever the Empire gives and he’s doing the right thing. He later witnesses a series of events that make him have a second thought about who he’s working for and asks Hera for help. He’s distant and can’t think right, and Hera uses his state to gain control over freeing her people and saving others from the same fate. However she is able to find his heart and open his eyes to the reality of the Empire and has him free her and become a spy for the Rebels.
