Alright, I’ve wanted to try something new for a while and here it is: my first original Alien. He is simply named “Sludger” (combine “sludge” and “slugger”) and I’ll be going over the lore and powers in the paragraphs below. Most of my original aliens will be from outside of the Milky Way Galaxy. Also, if you want to make a species name for this guy feel free because I am not creative enough for that and it’s 2:30am as I write this.

Lore:

“Sludger” is an artificial chimera of species created to consume the pollution and toxic waste of the ancient Sudaron Empire in Andromeda. Inside their neck is a pouch that holds a large quantity of highly acidic, digestive fluids that is excreted into the mouth. This liquid is capable of dissolving most objects and allows “Sludger” to safely digest objects that are hazardous to other species. Because of this they were often deployed as the clean up crew to planets conquered by the Sudaron Empire.

Eventually, during the downfall of the Sudaron Empire, this species was converted from a waste cleaner to bio-weapon to make up for the loss of soldiers against the Grengal Federation. Augmented with a hard carapace, these bio-weapons convert the most dangerous substances and refining it to mix in a sludge that is always pouring out of the holes in their newly made carapace. This sludge takes on the properties of what is eaten and the skin of the bio-weapon was augmented to hold a basic resistance to these substances.

However, they did not see the battlefield for long before the empire they belonged to fell. Leaving them to inhabit the destroyed planets of their masters, perpetually keeping the planets a wasteland due to the dangerous sludge flowing down their bodies.

Those that remain form small colonies of civilization but have trouble advancing due to their creators removing their ability of speech and hardwiring aggression into their brains for war. They do have a basic form of sapience but only enough to not cause genetic mutation when transformed into by the Omnitrix.

Powers:

Tough Carapace: All over their body is a tough carapace meant for defending the soft skin of Sludger. Capable of defending against most laser weaponry.

Sludge Creation: Within the carapace the periodic elements of the objects that Sludger consumed are combined with a sludge that is excreted via holes in the side of the carapace. If Sludger were to eat something radioactive the sludge would become radioactive too. The intensity of the properties of the sludge depend on the intensity in the object consumed.

Sludge resistance/immunity: The skin of Sludger grows a resistance to the properties of whatever it has recently eaten. If he eats something radioactive then his body will become resistant to radiation. This resistance fades away when all the sludge mixed with the eaten material is flushed from his body.

Enhanced Strength: Sludger is large and strong, not as much as a Tetramand but it is nothing to sneeze at.

Acid Spit: The sac on his neck holds a highly acidic saliva used to help eat and digest objects. It can be used as a weapon but it is mainly used to soften materials to fit in his small head to consume.

Weaknesses:

Biohazard: Due to the nature of his powers, Sludger is dangerous to use around Allie’s that don’t hold a resistance to whatever he has eaten. Rescuing people is difficult when he is covered in a ever-changing sludge. He was created to be a weapon after all.

Heightened Aggression: This aggression can cloud Sludger’s judgement if he is not careful. While not as bad as an Appoplexian, it can still make it troublesome to deal with.

Poor Communication: Sludger is incapable of speech, he can growl, grunt, and roar but nothing more. Luckily he is capable of understanding what those around him are saying.

Delta Magcargo (Pokemon Insurgence), Barnabas (Final Fantasy XIV), Sludgefist (World of Warcraft), Cyclops (mythology), Hoarah Loux (Elden Ring) Upchuck, and Wildmutt. If you want to know his fighting style I recommend you watch a video for the boss fight against Hoarah Loux in Elden Ring, just minus any kicking.

Hope you guys enjoyed this. While the process was fun it does take a long time compared to my other works so I won’t be doing this as often because of it. If you have any critiques please let me know because that’s how I’ll get better.
