Description Another peice of work i've very proud of, rather simple design i'm just proud of the shading in the tattoo on a whole.

Based of the traditional japanese design of light vs dark with the skull on the shoulder and the holy dragon on the forarm

Hi,
I'm doing a school project on tattoos, and I was wondering if I could use this photography to illustrate the presentation booklet. You'll of course be credited in the booklet.

how much would it normally cost to do a whole sleeve like this?

just-an-artist In reply to BunnyKiwls [2009-05-06 16:34:56 +0000 UTC]

with all the work i did for it, it was around 2,000 - 3,000 dollars... it really depends on how quickly i can finish it and how much prep i do... this one in particular i didn't do much as alot of it was free handed. but i hope that helps

Kickass man, That's some of the best asian style tats I've seen in a while. My only complaint is that they're not bigger so I can see the detail better.

I've commented on this tattoo before and I still think it's amazing. I'm commenting again to see if I can use it as a reference for the style of tattoo I'd like to get next. Do you mind, and if you don't mind do you have a higher resolution picture I could use to reference from?

Thanks for your time,

I have a question about this style of tattoos. I am very interrested in this style as a half sleeve for my right arm but I can't find anything to use as a reference to base it on. I don't want anything somebody has already gotten before, although the one you designed here ( [link] )is pretty awesome.

Is there a specific name for this style of tattoo, or maybe somewhere I can find more tattoo's like this? I have another link to something like it here ( [link] )

As you can see it's kind of like your design in that it uses the dark vs. light design to give a lot of depth to it. It kind of reminds me of H.R. Gigers work, which I like as well. if you can give any advice in this area it wold be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for your time,

~Muze

really what you should look for is someone in your area who speciallizes in the asian style of tattoos, because alot of it is about flow and therefore they need to be able to see your arm and look at how your muscles are on your arm, and this way they can design something which flows with your own body contours. Otherwise its basically a Black & Grey Asian style, or Japanese Style, and its rather common its just about finding someone who knows what their doing. Good luck.
