This is my drawing for the trade Paula and I are doing. We decided on Supernatural,or better: Dean/Jensen.
I really hope that you like it.
Here is a wip of her drawing:
This time I used the same paper I used for the Muse-drawing, it's great to draw on. It has a lot of texture and it is pretty much impossible to get something smooth or completely black but is takes a lot of pencil layers and forgives a lot of erasing. The effect is so different compared to the Bristol.
Also the plan was to draw a background but after erasing everything that wasn't supposed to be there I thought it loked pretty good with the white. What do you think?

-Time: No idea, maybe something like 15 hours. But it's typical for me that I get a really strong urge to draw when I'm supposed to learn. So I finished it a lot faster than I suspected.
Ps.: You have to take a long look at s gallery if you don't know it already. I can only recommend it!
Edit: I changed it a little bit and this time I made a photo. The white background had grey shapes so I drew with white over it in Photoscape. But other than that it's now closer to the original than before.

First off, I was to start by saying that your technique, especially with the shading in neck and along the cheek bone, are absolutely amazing. It really looks like you went beneath the skin and captured the essence of Jensen's structural features. Also, whatever you are doing with the hair is incredible . It looks like real hair (as though I could reach through the computer and pet his head and feel actual hair).
Additionally, I like the way you captured an expression in his eyes. They have depth and some intensity about them. Those positive things in mind, there are a few other things I noted. After staring at the picture for a while, I couldn't help but feel like there was something amiss. This picture definitely looks like Jensen but... <-- there's a but. I can't put my finger on it but there is something about this picture that doesn't capture Jensen quite right. I'm thinking it has something to do with the lower left part of the jaw line but like I said, this drawing is very well executed so I can't quite figure out why something seems amiss.
Other than that, I am over all in awe of your ability to use different degrees of graphite (this was your medium, right?) to draw Jensen. You are extremely talented!

I'm really happy that you like the neck so much, that's always one of the toughest things for me to draw.
I know what you mean, I had the same feeling. You are right, the left side of the jaw wasn't how it should be. I changed it a little bit, together with some other things. Thank you for pointing it out, I wouldn't have noticed it!

this is really good. I don't have enough things to write a proper critique, but I love how you have draw him and made it your own, it is one thing to draw a picture of someone with realism but you've done it in your own way which has really stood out for me. Like the last critique said, there is something that doesn't look quite right about it but I like that. x

Not really, I'm anaemic and need to get my iron stores up .. they dropped to 4 (should be at around 100-140 I'm told) when my little boy arrived and have never gotten any better 
Haha, Ana said about Marilyn Manson and I feel the same too, that's all I see in that first pic now she said it

I'm sorry to hear that what you tried a few months ago didn't work. How are you able to conzentrate on anything or even move?! I remember that it really wasn't always easy to conzentrate in schoole when I was anaemic two years ago, and I can't remember the numbers but it was a lot better than 4.

Hiya, it was lovely of you to come along to my snail slow drawing
I have some issues with energy and concentration, the most worrying is the occasional blackout/fall asleep and I don't know its happening.. that's quite scary, but I'm being very careful with my diet and eating iron rich things and taking suppliments, so I hope it gets a bit better soon

Do you know Floradix? For example:[link] That's something I drink and it seems to work pretty good.

Oh, I have a bottle of that and have never been able to talk myself into taking it because I think it's going to taste disgusting

I don't know if you have the same I have, but mine doesn't taste too bad. I always put a little bit of it into some juice then it is barely noticable. I say it is worth a try, it can't make it worse and from what I have heard/read so far I'm not the only one with positive experiences.

I have a different bottle but a link to mine wouldn't help you much because there everything is German but translated everything on it is the same so I suppose they are the same. Äh, yep. That sounds logical.
The good thing is that it is natural and doesn't affect the stomach or anything. Just don't keep it too long in your mouth, that wouldn't help to have white teeth.

I actually don't eat a lot of anything to be honest, about 800 calories a day, so I guess that's part of the reason I can't get good iron from food .. a steak a day could be the answer!
