Igneous Rock Pie and Cloudy Quartz a pair that got together thanks to the Choosing Rock, a tradition with Rock Farm families. Cloudy Quartz had never even met Igneous before the Choosing Ceremony so it wasn't a surprise they didn't quite get along at first. Igneous had to get in a word every time Cloudy said or did anything, eventually she stopped arguing and just did as he wished and the way he wanted. He didn't like how her hair was always in the way so she straightened it and kept it in a tight bun. Somehow the 2 still managed to have 4 kids, then again with the kids Igneous held back and let Cloudy be in charge until they were old enough to help him with the farm. Maudileena Daisy Pie their eldest, Limelenna Diorite Pie (prefers to go by Limestone) the second, Pinkamena Diane Pie the second youngest and Marbleena Delilah Pie. ~Igneous passed after a terrible accident that almost killed Iron Forge and Cloudy Quartz still lives on the farm but doesn't work on it~

Maud didn't really care for love but she also knew she did not want to do the Choosing Ceremony, as much as she didn't want to go against her parents' wishes. Something happened though when a very bright pony bumped into her one day. It was Vinyl Scratch, she'd seen her before at some of Pinkie's parties but Maud never stuck around long anyways. Vinyl's glasses fell off when they bumped into each other and they made eye contact. Both being ponies of few words, they just starred for a while. Eye contact never made Maud embarrassed but Vinyl never-ending stare almost made her back down, until Vinyl said with a huff "My glasses." Maud picked them up and looked up at her, "Let me replace them" Maud offered in the same monotoned voice. Anyone from the outside would think they were mind readers seeing how they would exchanged 4 words max in a "conversation" on a date. It surprised many when they announced they were getting married. The party was for close friends and family only, but thanks to the big pie family it was still quite full. They had 2 sons, Moonstone Song and Cave Acoustics. Moonstone Song is a part of Marimba's Jazz Band. Cave Acoustics works on the farm with some of his cousins and aunts. ~Vinyl is a DJ while Maud became a Professor in Geology {Side note: she was Petunia Paleo's old professor before she switched to Archelogy}~

Limestone didn't want to go against their family tradition, she takes them very seriously and finds joy in continuing them but the Choosing Rock was wrong. She was paired with a stallion named Mudbrair but she couldn't bring herself to be with him. Before the official joining ceremony she found Cayenne Pepper, a friend of hers. She asks if she could just pretend they were engaged for the ceremony so she didn't have to marry him. Cayenne agreed as she was bored and why not? Let's just say Igneous was not happy about the sudden announcement, Cloudy also pulled her aside and asked why she didn't tell them earlier. She said because.... she was nervous about them meeting her? "Well when was your wedding supposed to happen?" "UH Next month!" One lie lead to another now Cayenne and Limestone are getting married. Mudbrair didn't mind, he honestly didn't really know what was happening anyways. Cayenne only went with it because the idea of living with Limestone didn't seem too bad to her, until she heard they were supposed to live with her parents. Cayenne said no never, I'll build us a house near them but I won't live with them. They lived together for a few months before actually falling in love and having some kiddos of their own. The oldest is Grape Vine a pirate, the 2nd is Ghost Pepper who works on the rock farm with Cave Acoustics as his partner, the second youngest is Rose Quartz another one who just works on the farm for now, and the youngest Pyrite (Aka Fools Gold) a pawn shop owner in canterlot. ~Limestone is the head of the Rock Farm and Cayenne is an architect~

Pinkie Pie was the first to marry outside of her parent's wishes and to top it all off, she married a yak! Her parents were very very skeptical about this, as they've never met a yak they could only go off stories they've heard. Pinkie knew they wouldn't agree at first but she hoped with enough time they'd get along but Igneous passed before he could even meet Rutherford properly. Once Cloudy met him, and Acacia, she was more intimidated by their size more than anything. Acacia got Cloudy to warm up more to them and even Rutherford tried to be more gentle around her, as yak families in general tend to be closer to the wife's side. They went on to have 5 fluffy kiddos, Acacia, Penelope, Molly Leaf, Jack of Trades, Petunia. Acacia studies plants in the forests across Equestria, Penelope works at Sugar Cube Corner under Pumpkin Cake's guide, Molly Leaf becomes a designer (eventually), Jack leaves home early and lives with Penelope and once he's old enough he works multiple jobs. Petunia stays home and only travels to meet with family members. ~Rutherford is still a chief and Pinkie is his right hand, she goes when there's meetings with the pony Queens~

Sweet Marbleena Delilah Pie was the most hesitant to disobey the Choosing Stone while her dad was alive. Once she saw how they reacted to her sisters not marrying under the stone, she also tried. Secretly dating a few ponies, such as Treehugger and even Dumbbell but she really wanted to go out with a certain griffon she'd been seeing around. When Pinkie was visiting home once, she found out and reached out to Gabby to set up a date between her and Marble. They got along very well. After a year or two, Gabby brought up the idea of children. Marble wished to be married before having any kids, and even then she wasn't sure about them (as by this point Acacia, Penelope,, both of Maud's kids, and Grape Vine were already born and quite a handful as she helped watch over them to make sure they didn't get hurt. Eventually they did have their only daughter, Iron Forge, a glass blower later on. She was born around the same time as Ghost Pepper. ~Gabby is a mail courier and Marble works on the family farm~

Welp here's the pie family! Igneous wasn't a violent man, just strong, silent but very obvious about his views. Him being the biggest was another factor that intimidated the rest of the family. He didn't get to meet any of Pinkie's kids, the closest he got was seeing a picture of Acacia when she was first born. Once he died it hit them all hard and yet it seemed they relaxed a little. Cloudy Quartz finally let her hair down and was more expressive with her grandkids, that shocked her daughters at first.
