Abilities: He’s able to shape shift, but only a single part of his body at a time.
(Examples: Turning an arm- below the elbow- into a sword, giving himself eyes, turning a finger into a key/lock pick)
(Many other Calico’s are able to shape shift entirely, but some sort of mutation or defect prevents him from being able to do so.)

He’s sly and sneaky, and a bit dishonest due to him being a pirate. He has slight trust issues as well.
He sometimes acts as though he’s invincible when running from or fighting soldiers/guards, which just gets him into even deeper trouble.
He puts his entire crew before himself, always making sure they are all safe and together before setting sail.

•He had a wife 6 years before the events of the story named Annabelle, who was captured and hung for associating so closely with pirates. He tried to stop the hanging, but the crowd was so thick he couldn’t get to her in time.
•The ship he captains is named “The Beast’s Heron”.

•He and his crew were able to sneak into the castle of the royal family and loot a few rooms. They almost escaped unseen, but were spotted just as they were leaving and almost half the military chased after them. Luckily, the entire group made it back to their ship and set sail before they could get caught. They now all have an extremely large bounty on their heads.
•His crew consists of 11 different beasts- including a Chimera, a Cerberus, and a panther-like creature who can secrete Mercury.

•This universe is kind of a mixture of Pirates of The Caribbean and Lord of The Rings, but the monsters act just like people.
•Dragons are hostile beings, often hunted for their scales and used for an expensive type of leather (hence Jay’s belts). They can integrate into society depending on the country, but are feared and hated by most.
•Pure breed humans are thinning out more and more, due to more children being born to both human and beast parents.
