Ah, a robot! After seeing Transformers 2, I'm on a bit of a mecha high. 
Nice detail, especially in the hands. Those tend to be the least focused area, as people are too afraid to draw them in the first place.
Interesting design as well. It has an alien-organic feel to it, which I don't see as often as the straight-up mechanical robots.
The perspective also makes sense. Nicely done!
As for critique...Contrast, and lots more of it. Everything from the walls to the colors is painfully plain and could use some heavy, dynamic shading to balance the simplicity. Same with that drop-shadow.
Also, his legs are jarringly drastic. I can tell you tried to give a sense of space, but the left leg shouldn't be that small or short. I think some study in foreshortening would do you a world of good.

Yeah I always seem to struggle with contrast in my art. I'm working more on it to develop my technique.
As for the legs, I knew they were really bad when I did it. This picture started out as random doodling on PS and when I was done, I figured I should color it in for practice. I was focusing on that rather than refining the actual sketch :lazy:.
