I usually don't like stuff like this, but I think throwing the woman on the beach in there did it for me, it makes it more realistic and gives it a lot more meaning. Nice job!

the perspective on the space ship seems a little out, but this adds to the feeling of disorientation that no doubt space would give.
technically it's wicked.

Brilliant. Absolutely brilliant. The only thing I don;t like is how big the moon (?) right in front of the girl is. I think it should be smaller, because then the scene above is all the more awe-inspiring.

A fantastic concept executed with style and skill. +fav.

I like the complexity of this image thought. It makes it have an even bigger impression on the central idea of the picture: How small we are under that inmense Universe. It may look complicated but I think that it indeed is a wonderfull picture that's nice to the eye.

The fact that it's so tall makes me like it even more since the fact that you have to scroll down to see further makes you wonder what'll come next. ^^

In any case I like it and consider it a nice work. Keep it up ^^

blahbig [2005-04-20 11:45:29 +0000 UTC]

It’s a well put together photo manipulation…however my opinion would be that the image might be unnecessarily tall and complicated, you probably could get across the same message just as effectively and more subtly and sophisticatedly with a more simple composition. By the third satellite and the fifth plant we’ve kind of gotten the message… and been whacked over the head with it. I might be wrong but still it’s the impression I get.

Anyway apart from that it’s pretty well executed; the transitions are convincing enough for me. Have to say though that I’m not about what looks like cloud filter for the sky – it’s best to avoid immediately recognisable filters like that especially because they aren’t actually very realistic.

Compositionally, apart from it being perhaps slightly too complex, I think it is okay – the variety in scales is quite good with different sized planets and satellites (not good that it’s the same satellite repeated three times though). Perhaps though the difference could be pushed further for more interest, the two large top planets are quite similar in size to each other and the three smaller ones are also very similar in size. It’s also perhaps not especially good how those three small planets have been spaced; how they are kind of evenly spaced upwards and occupy similar locations each time too. You might get a more interesting composition if you placed them less evenly. The placement of the figure centrally at the bottom also isn’t the greatest either, be better if you varied those spaces.

nice composition...i too think maybe one or two less spacestations would have been nice and added a few more backround stars in thier place...pretty good overall

It is very good, but I feel a little repetition with the space-stations, perhaps you could have left out one or two of them.
The picture at the bottom is very eyecatching indeed!

Pretty nice.

The lighting needs work though. It's inconsistence in many of the pictures. (The woman is lit on her right side, yet some of the planets are illuminated on their left.)

Small nitpick when it comes to beauty however. Neat work!

Hi.

I've always loved spacemanipulations. When a manipulation is at the same time so real but so impossible, it just makes an adorable conflict to me. It feels a bit like trendwhoring to do a vertical (600x3000) space/land -scifipieces, but this one I actually like because of what happens down there. Beautiful.

I see you've really known what you're doing. You've faded the earth / space / outer-space very well from each other, there isn't any borders shown. I can't really credit you from how accurate job you've done with the different objects in this one since I can recognize those planets / stars from some of the digital stocks here, but you've placed them well. You've taken some pics off Google, I have to remind you that not all the pics you see are free. Using Google imagesearch, most of the images are copyright protected. Like, if you've gotten that shuttle and those other things from nasa.gov, they're illegal to use.

Still; Good job in overall, your image is beautiful and harmonic which I guess is one of the main points in Photomanipulation. You've named it well and the borders around fits in. These pics really remind me how small we actually are.
