This took FOREVER. But you didn’t see me type that. I'd really like if you guys could at least read the pokeymanz personalities. Nillia and I have been developing these characters for a while now, and this contest gave us both a chance to show them off!

Yes I name all my pokemon after characters I like. I am a geek. BUT SO ARE ALL OF YOU, YOU CAN’T JUDGE ME. Now onto my character’s bio, in first person!

Bio: Hi! My name’s Judith. I’ll try not to ramble much here, but if you’re to battle me, then it’s only polite that I let you know a bit about me.

I was a bit of an unmotivated kid. My mom ran a yoga studio for pokemon and their trainers (weird, I know), but I was never into pokemon. No journey when I was a kid or anything. My life totally changed when I was a teenager. Long story short, I wound up in the wrong place at the wrong time, and a seviper was trying to bite my face off for taking an egg it was going to eat. I was rescued by a woman and a garchomp, who had been hunting for that seviper to stop it from thieving pokemon eggs from nurseries. The woman told me the egg was injured and probably wouldn’t live to hatch. I took it home anyway, and I took extra great care of it. I was inspired! I couldn’t stop thinking about that lady trainer. She’d saved my life and the egg’s life, and she’d battled in such a cool and stylish way! I wished that I was able to go around and help people like she did.

My egg pulled through. It hatched into a little Riolu, who I named “John”. The next few months of my life were dedicated to raising John, and my life would never be the same after him. I was totally into pokemon. I took my Riolu everywhere and talked to everyone about pokemon training. Once John was old enough, the two of us decided to finally set out on a journey. We both owed our lives to that trainer I had met, and if we couldn’t find her again, I at least wanted to aspire to what I’d seen in her.

We traveled through Sinnoh for a while before we wound up with an opportunity to sail to Johto and go see some big championship tournament. There I met a girl named Lane, who later became my travel buddy. John and I decided to stay in Johto … explore a “new land” and all that.

Years later after a lot of “my pokemon adventure” detail (you probably don’t wanna hear me babble about that), I was offered a job with the pokemon “Wild Force” guild, an independent group that makes a living out of putting a stop to particularly dangerous wild pokemon that pose a threat to humans. I couldn’t turn it down. It was pretty much what I’d really wanted to do with my life since I’d first gotten John – travel around and rescue people and pokemon from danger! Lane told me they were a bunch of ruffians who didn’t keep their members under enough control, but I figured I could go in there and set a good example! So right now, me and my pokemon are doing our jobs at the Wild Force guild, having tons of adventures and keeping people and pokemon safe!

Eh, I guess I did ramble a little much….

Pokemon

John (Lucario): John was my first pokemon. He’s my best friend and my most trusted pokemon. John is put in charge of the other pokemon in my team if I can’t be there to lead them… he’s my second-in-command, I guess. Ha! He can seem a little shy, but John is a warrior through and through. He’s honorable and humble. A real gentleman too. The guy never gives himself enough credit for his skills. He’s loyal too, almost to a fault, and I’ve barely seen him lose his temper. I guess he was influenced by all those martial arts movies we watched when he was a kid… (Don’t tell anyone, but John loves poffins filled with cream!)

Duran (Arcanine): Duran was the first pokemon that I caught in a ball. It’s a long story, but Duran was a rebellious growlithe who didn’t take well to authority. It took a long time to catch him, but he was worth it. Duran loves to fight and puts his all into every battle. He’s really hot blooded, loses his temper easily. Duran hates that John is my second, because he knows he could kick John’s ass. Under all that though, he’s a faithful, sensitive pokemon who doesn’t totally get himself yet. He’s just got a more to learn about loyalty and respect. He learns best through battle! Duran is my main mode of transportation.

Konata (Azumarill): I caught Konata as a marill in the swamps of Johto. She’s really laid back and carefree, but surprisingly fast! I think Aqua Jet is her favorite move. She really loves eating and swimming (though I think she prefers “just floating there” to swimming). She gets a huge kick out of jabbing Duran until he loses his temper. She knows that she could trounce him if he tried anything. Sometimes it’s a little hard to get her motivated, but she’s better in battle than you’d think.

Holo (Mightyena): Holo was the leader of a pack of poochyena that had been causing some serious trouble in the town they lived near. I think most of her pack had been chased off by rangers or townspeople, but Holo was incredibly formidable. I was sent in to get her under control. She gave me one heck of a battle… and she was so cool that I decided to keep her instead of giving her to the guild. Despite being so fierce, Holo is beautiful and elegant. She knows it of course, always acting very sly and confident. She’s probably one of my most intelligent pokemon. She can analyze a battle and turn you on your head in the blink of an eye. She’s really sweet once she gets to know you though.

Cinnamon (Wigglytuff): I named Cinnamon after the color of his eyes when he was an igglybuff. I didn’t know they would change! He’s the biggest sweetheart on my team. If I’m feeling down, Cinnamon always tries to cheer me up. He likes giving gifts or making people laugh with a little song and dance. He can be a little mischievous, but he hates hurting other people’s feelings. Though he’s very often a polite little gentleman, I think that he’s a bit of a womanizer too… he’s flirted with a lot of female pokemon. Whatever he does, it works. The girls love him. Cinnamon lets me use him as a pillow when we’re camping out at night.

Kagami (Glaceon): Kagami is the youngest on my team. She was given as a gift to me by a breeder for capturing a ditto that had been sneaking into his breeding kennels every night. She’s a perfectionist. She hates messing up in battle and is very hard on herself if she doesn’t do things just right, and she’ll try and get me to train her extra hard after a loss. She can also seem pretty naïve, but she’s doing her best to learn from me and the others. Kagami is a little annoyed by Cinnamon and Konata, but she really looks up to Holo. Holo can tell and has taken to giving Kagami lessons in battle every now and then. I think it’s really cute.
