I colored this same line-art a bit over 7 weeks ago and the old version is, when compared to this especially... blah. So totally 'blah'. I can't even believe it.
Anyway. This time I gave in and went for the 'dark gothic lolita'-look. I tried to think of something more to add but nothing popped into my mind so I'll call it finished. I'm starting to like this whole greyscale-thing, I might try it even more in the future!

The background, fade out, and use of shading on the legs is elegant and beautiful. However, the shoes get rather lost, perhaps somehow reintroducing the golden colors used at the top? As it is though, lovely piece. Glad you gave it another go - it's interesting to make comparrisons.

Well, my screen might be a tad bit bright since I see the shoes well enough and I didn't really want to emphasize them that much. But I'll try what it would look like with a bit of gold on the laces or such.
I'm gonna repaint the crown as soon as I can 'cause there's one technique I'd like to try on it anyway, so I'll try adding gold to the shoes while I'm at it.

No, unfortunately not. =/ The only time I've added waves to a picture I used a pre-mad photoshop-brush. If you send me a note to remind me, I'll find out who made it (it's someone in dA.)

It's nice, but with the Gothic Lolita theme, you could have decked her out in ruffles and frills and curls galore... I really like the pattern in the background, though!
