Interesting use of color The yellow seems to be surrounding the houses with warmth Love the crisscross of telephone/electrical wires that keep everyone connected.

The yellow was put late to patch up for initial error on colors.
I got it wrong at first and decided to put the forefront dark and to lighten up a street a bit further back.
As for the wires, it may symbolize connection, thats a possible lecture, no matter what I had in mind

Thanks for the favs!

Loving the messy, stark contrasts. Makes it appear much darker than it really is. I especially love how the power poles resemble burnt wood, and seem 'burnt out'.

The brush strokes are excelent as well. Pallet knife?

Thanks!
I did not think of them as being burned, but it does make sense. A very possible lecture!

Palette knife, indeed.

Gotta love (or hate) the art critics when they look too deep into the pieces, haha.

"The green in this sky symbolizes the sickness of nature and the decay of the world around us." --When really you were compensating for running out of blue.

haha! So true!

Something which, by the way, I have no problems with! Art is a discussion brought on the public sphere, which does not have to be the artist's monologue. If the artist does not understand his own genius, it merely confirms Hegel's theory. (note : I am not talking for myself here)

This is really interesting and different. I love your choice of colours, it really creates a darker mood. Great work !

Thanks!

I had lighter colors in mind, but most importantly near-monochroma. It turned out darker, but given the reception I got so far, its very fine
