Description Harley Quinn Body Paint!
Full Body: [link]

MY HARLEY GALLERY: [link]

I got myself body painted when I was 18 and I’ve been dying to paint someone ever since. Luckily I found my Harley Quinn!
We had Harley in mind from the beginning and figured this would be a nice easy way to get started. Unfortunately it was a lot harder than we thought. First off we needed Harleys hood so we went online and got the full Gotham Girls costume only to find afterwards that the colour pattern was wrong?! Harley Quinn’s colour code starts with the hood being Red on her right side but on the Gotham Girls costume it’s Black. So we followed the costumes colour code and just flipped the image afterwards. (this image has been flipped)
Secondly we had no idea it would take so long, although the design is quite simple it felt like we were painting the same sections forever and we ended up rushing the last of it.
But after she was all painting up she looked bloody Awesome!

(Approximate painting time: 4-5 hours)

2009

... Lovely work... It looks really good! I'm a huge Harley fan!

But...this was tagged with suicide squad.... The suicide squad outfit is the modern one (usually consist of a blue and red corset and shorts, or a t-shirt and Jean shorts) .... This is more like the old school animated series (Batman: Animated Series, Joker's Favor) or in the comics ( The Batman Adventures #12 (September 1993))...

So to conclude, wonderful job, but, this is the 90s Harley, not Suicide Squad.

If anyone is upset because I corrected this, I am sorry, but, I'm a huge Harley Quinn fan!

Ironically-Destroyed [2012-02-29 12:47:12 +0000 UTC]

Hello,

I am starting off with projects that are using body paint. I am nervous to put my models in anything that is toxic or doesn't wash off immediately.

Is there any brand names you can give me or any advice you could offer?
I would really appreciate it. It would mean a lot to the girls to start adventuring down a new path.

Much thanks and best wishes,
Hannah.

Really? Why?

MarcelineForever4 In reply to JWBeyond [2011-06-16 01:41:57 +0000 UTC]

If you think about it, you start naked right? that means people are staring at you naked in the first place, I think it's nasty and I will never do body paint, cause people staring at my crotch for hours just for me to act like I'm wearing something I'm not is not a good deal if you ask me.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

CrypticCamo In reply to MarcelineForever4 [2012-02-28 23:08:34 +0000 UTC]

Believe it or not, it's closer to nudism, nobody is staring at anyone's "crotch" everyone either has one or the other no mystery. My wife and I pose frequently and no one has ever gawked at whether I was standing next to her or not.

If you don't have something nice to say, why brings others art down so you can feel good about yourself..

MarcelineForever4 In reply to CrypticCamo [2012-02-29 01:57:15 +0000 UTC]

I mean, when they're painting, say, jeans, they HAVE to look there.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

CrypticCamo In reply to MarcelineForever4 [2012-02-29 02:15:45 +0000 UTC]

Doesn't mean their looking at more than where to put the paint. For instance the lady who painted me last time was a lesbian, even though she had to look at mine, I really don't believe she had a hidden agenda.
Think people put to much thought in the process of their fears instead of seeing the whole picture. "JonWilksBeyond" paintings are beautiful, to say that the painter is interested in anything but the art is ludicrous, if not burlesque.

Hello!
I am trying to find body paint that will not easily rub or wipe off when dry. Would the kind you used fit that description? If so, what kind of paint did you use and where did you get it? I would just need black and white.

Also, this is very cool and very good. I like that you flipped the image so it was accurate

Hi! I’m sorry but the paint I use wouldn’t be suitable ...But! Liquid Latex Body Paint is the stuff you need! Keep layering the latex paint up and you can go dancing in it, it’s perfect for you

I found a site that might help: [link]

Let me know how it goes

xdeathbybananax In reply to JWBeyond [2011-03-24 06:26:15 +0000 UTC]

Thank you so much!!! I googled body paint and ended up on a site similar to that! [link]
I think it might actually be the same company as they ship from the same location in Pennsylvania haha

Do you have any suggestions on application? The website says to use foam brushes and small rollers.
(Haha, don't mind me as I try and pick your brain. I like to try knowing what I'm getting into before I'm elbow deep. And the internet is a conflicting place, so I like to ask people straight up who've done it before.)

JWBeyond In reply to xdeathbybananax [2011-03-24 12:23:55 +0000 UTC]

Thats ok I like being asked questions, happy to help in any way I can :-D
I'd use foam brushes but get a couple of them because when the latex dries it ruins the brush.
Do you mind if I ask what you’re going to paint? Is it Harley Quinn or something completely different?

I costume play as Sally from Nightmare Before Christmas every year at ConnectiCon (basically an everything convention) up in Hartford, CT. me->[link]
So, I need my face and arms to be whitish gray with black stitches. For a few years now I've been using grease-based Halloween face paint and it smudges so much! I could never do my arms because it'd get all over my costume. For the legs I normally use white tights that I've used fabric markers to draw on the stitches.

How durable is liquid latex? I'd probably only do it for one day, but that day could last from about 9am-8pm. Would I have to re-apply it or could it last that long?

JWBeyond In reply to xdeathbybananax [2011-03-25 01:42:11 +0000 UTC]

Its super durable, you have to really pull at it to peel it off so make sure you put moisturizer on your skin before you apply the latex. You might get abit sweaty having it on that long but best to have a play with it well before the event so you know what you can do with it. I really think you should keep it well away from your mouth and eyes though. Its good stuff and you’ll look great!

xdeathbybananax In reply to JWBeyond [2011-03-25 03:19:51 +0000 UTC]

The website has a prep, finish, and wash kit. Plus a base foundation to make the colors brighter. I was going to get a small container and cover part of my arm and wear it around for the day to test it out. I figure, if it's super uncomfortable on my hand, it'll be uncomfortable on my face. And I'll be able to check flexibility, application, and wear-out time.

Idk if you looked at the photo, but you'll notice the neck area is just a disaster. I'm tired of dealing with it haha
