Description
I just really felt like making something bulky with a magma look, but this does give me an idea for a sort of set of secondary starters that take some inspiration from previous starters, this being kind of like a different CharmanderBased on:
Fire salamanders
Black salamanders
Magma
Lava rock
The earth's core
Lizard men

first stage reminds me of slugma, it's really really cute

The first stage is really cute! middle stage's proportions are a bit big compared to the first stage, though. (It's still cute!)

Nice! I wonder though, if it's partly based on lava and the earth's core, molten rock etc, if it might be best to give it a part rock or ground typing in its final stage?

I thought about that, but I've noticed that most of my fakemon are dual-typed, and I could really use more final evos that are single-typed

Lol - I hear you. The allure of dueltyping for me is strong too - it's so hard to make monotypes when a fun idea comes along!
