"Not happening," I said, looking at Tucker in disdain. He was my best friend, but his suggestion was a little bold for me. Maybe not for him...well, definitely not for him. He could saunter up to some random girl on the street without blinking an eye.

Me? I prefer a more...conservative approach. Not that Tucker took any notice of this. He's still grinning at me.

"Sam. Come on. You look fantastic tonight, there's no way you're letting this chance pass up," he insisted. I looked over at the boy in the corner Tucker wanted me to talk to, careful not to spill my drink. He was unbelievably cute, with black hair and a colorful outfit, but I didn't know him, and didn't care to. I was still looking at him when the boy looked up and caught my eye. He smiled at me.

I'm proud to say that I scoffed and turned back to Tucker without letting him affect me like cute boys supposedly affect girls in books. I hid a triumphant smirk. Tucker was still talking to me, but I ignored him and took a sip of my punch.

Grimace. There's alcohol in this. With a sigh, I thought, Isn't there always? I should probably ditch the party. How we even got invited is beyond me.

"Tuck?" I said, interrupting him. "Why don't we go bowling? I'm bored."

Clearly frustrated with me, Tucker said through gritted teeth, "We can't go bowling because it's closed for extension."

I grinned at him; I'd ruffled his feathers, something that's not easily done to someone as laid back as Tucker. He took a deep breath. "I didn't want to do this," he announced in mock-solemnity. "But I, Tucker Foley, formally dare you, Samantha Manson - "

"Oh no you DON'T," I growled, covering his mouth with my hand. But he maneuvered around it, smiling hugely, as he continued.

" - to go over to the corner where Danny Fenton stands - "

I put my cup of punch down on the counter next to me so I could use both hands - and feet, if necessary. However, he knew me better than anyone else, and immediately saw what I was plotting. He got a head start, but made sure I could hear him as he kept his sentence going.

" - and say something so perverted you make him BLUSH."

By this time, I'd caught up with him and shoved him against a wall so he couldn't escape. If looks could kill, he'd be pushing up the daisies, and he knew it. Yet he was still beaming at his success.

"Now, Sam," he chided. "You know the rules. No killing the darer until after the dare is completed."

I let go of him, but didn't let my glare leave my face. "Screw the rules."

See, back in middle school, both Tucker and I made a deal that we would never turn down a dare - that is, if they completed the formal statement. It had to be done in person, not over the phone , by text, or any other means. It had to be done in the presence of the darer, and you weren't allowed to hurt said darer until after the task was done. I was usually able to stop any of his. Not today, though. I was gonna hurt him after this.

I pasted a smile on my face and looked over at the corner. He was talking to one of the guys that had come to the party. This was not going to be pleasant.

I would've done the encounter, but...I suck at transitions. And I haven't written in a while. Maybe later....so yeah, if the writing isn't my best, sorry. I'm kinda out of it. What happens is basically they engage in conversation after the other guy leaves, and she just kinda flirts. THAT makes him blush. And Sam decides that Danny isn't absolutely horrible, and Tucker comes over, assuming the dare has been done. They just kinda talk and when they see each other in school later Danny becomes friends with Sam and Tucker. A few weeks later, with Tucker there, she says something perverted that makes both of 'em blush. Tucker never did put a time limit on it.

Looking pretty good...considering I did absolutely NO LINE ART.

I like it...and Sam's wearing white eyeshadow. Danny turned out darker than I wanted him to. All well.

I do believe this is the first time my signature appeared on a computer color pic.
