Sam...does not look like I wanted her to.
And I know I got Danny's cape wrong. I didn't realize it until I was completely done with the picture.
Plus a lot of other stuff I really don't like ><;;

I set it for 300 dpi, and then resize the width of the pic to 800 pixels in Photoshop (if I scanned it right side up; this pic I had to do 800 for height). Then I save and post it.
It might also be the paper you're using. I got a sketchbook with paper that when I scanned it, made the whole thing look purple.
