Description

Stealing Glances at the pavement

The crowd begins to break up

They're calling their goodbyes

Stealing Glances at the pavement

But I'm still drowning in your eyes

So I walk into the sun

Will I see you soon,

Or did we move on?

I thought you'd be there

But you could fool anyone

And I don't belong so I'm headed back . .

in all this time you were gone  .

my dark passenger .

this all came because a song hit my head and it blew the dust  away ,

here it is : www.youtube.com/watch?v=JnCQvB…

Since these spider Lilies usually bloom near cemeteries around the autumnal equinox,
they are described in Chinese and Japanese translations of the Lotus Sutra as ominous flowers that grow in 地 獄(also known as Hell), and guide the dead into the next reincarnation.
A famous legend is of two elves: 曼 珠, who guarded the flower, and 沙 華 who guarded the leaves. Out of curiosity, they defied their fate of guarding the herb alone, and managed to meet each other.
At first sight, they fell in love ♥ with each other. G.O.D, exasperated by their waywardness, separated the miserable couple, and laid a curse on them as a punishment: the flowers of 曼 珠 shall never meet the leaves of 沙 華 again.
It was said that when the couple met after death in hell , they vowed to meet each other after reincarnation. However, neither of them could keep their words. ♥

Some other legends have it that when a person sees someone that they may never meet again, these flowers, also called red spider lilies, would bloom along the path. Perhaps because of these sorrowful legends .

Mid focus is excellent to illustrate the myth you write about. The meeting of those two right now, no past of import, and the future path fuzzy...
I always admire your work, but I especially liked this, because I love Mythology & collect myths and hadn't heard about these flowers at all- so thank you!

'We're stealing glances
like thieves; watching each other
with our wary hearts

I call you a criminal,
yet I robbed you just the same'

I never tire of seeing your photos of these flowers. The mid-ground focus in this one is very intriguing

That's very beautiful shot. Plus the fact that All Saints' Day/Day of the Dead was celebrated in my country only few days ago only adds to the athmosphere.
