HAPPY (BELATED) CHINESE NEW YEAR!!

A gift art for

Chinese New already pass few weeks ago (is it?) and I just completed my painting which I actually intended to use as a front side of the greeting card which I've printed and sending it out few weeks ago. Since I don't have the time to finish it on time, I use other simple design instead and begin to work on this painting properly day by day.

Few days of work which starts from Google-ing the proper reference picture to be used as the motive of the painting. At first I just wanted a simple cartoon looks but it ended up having a lot of texture and pattern which I need to properly paint them.

I got the step-by-step updated daily when I was working on this piece in the blog. But maybe I'll write a in-depth working method for completing this one since I learn quite a few things that might be some help.

p/s: no improvement whatsoever in this painting, it's just that my skills getting sux by day =.= don't believe it, compare it to other thousands artwork you can browse in here within this year *sigh*
