Finally finished my Peacock!Castiel !
Male peacocks in a zoo will display their plumage because visitors like it, but in the wild they only do plumage displays if they are trying to attract a mate. [Castiel] was a free range angel when he met Dean and that means the plumage display in 4.01 would have been done to attract a mate

Yes *cries* - It's been about 2 weeks on and off? I'm not keen on the lower larger feathers anymore, I did those first, but I'm so proud of the cockerel feathers at the top. I really want to do another one but with plain wings, just black or coca-cola brown or something. Get some dramatic lighting in, and actually paint Cas too.
