Finished March '08. This is a fanart of Vash from Trigun.Phew! Finished this just in time for Anime St. Louis.
Vash is one of my all time favorite characters in anime, I was especially wanting to get this done before the con because the English dub voice actor is a prime guest this year! Anyway, forgive me on any sloppiness that might show on this, it was abit rushed, lol.

I think it came from some of the original concept art and/or the McFarlane figure that came out years ago. I know I was using both for reference when I originally did this.

wow very nice coloring and lineart. I also like how
the dessert horizen dust storms and cloulds blend in with each other in a natural way to carry out the dramatic affect of the peice. lol you should of had Johnny the voice actor for Vash sign a print of this, at the convention. lol then if ya go to other conventions you could say this print was signed by vash himself lol!

Lol, I would have, but I was always too busy to really leave it outside of Sunday. But yeah, Cat is a really kind girl, she helped me out alot, especially prior to the convention with the promo art I submitted for the program book.

Randomly, how much were you selling your on the spot sketches for?

About $1-2 depending on difficulty. But it was abit of a bargain really, I was doing a rough sketch in blue pencil and then doing a kind of inking with a lead pencil over it so it would come up clearer and cleaner.
