Feeling...Hiddlestoned?

Oh man, so many hours of work into this one. The prompt was to do a portrait of a famous creative person using only polygons, that is, straight sided shapes. I chose triangles. AND MAN. THIS TOOK A MILLION TRIANGLES. I don't usually overdo my projects (at least, in my opinion) but i think I overdid it this time XD bah. But hey....
Looking good, Tom, looking good...

So, yes. Every single one of those itty bitty triangles was drawn by me, using the pen tool, in Adobe Illustrator. I did use a picture as a reference (this one here: www.liveforfilms.com/wp-conten… ) and placed the triangles according to color patterns that I found...

The point of the "shattering" effect is actually meant to be more of a "forming," like...as an actor, Tom has to take all these bits and pieces and form them into a seamless, believable whole...

A bit like what I tried to do here.
