A tattoo design of an Aztec were-jaguar... the ground surface is both tiles, and also skin - hence the blood...Done for a guy who is going to get it tattooed on his bicep - I'm looking forward to seeing pics of it when he gets it done
. Done in inks and acrylic paints on 9"x12" illustration board.

Oh my lord! Deep meaning and a lot of work. But that's got to be an ultimate moment for you! I can't imagine the thrill of seeing something you've done being chosen for such a purpose. ... Oh of course, if he's hired you to draw that out for him, that's not quite the same as him picking something you'd already done, but even so, it says quite a lot about your skill and how he views your abilities. Way to go, and congratulations on hitting this artistic milestone.

Very neat! I really like how all of the colours fits perfectly well with each other, like the orange flowers and even the blood on his paws.
I'm curious how the tattoo would turn out in the end, and how the tattooer manages to put in all of the details and colours that exists in this piece.
A few questions perhaps: Are the ground supposed to be white limestones? and may the tattoo be just the same original size?

I am curious to see how it turns out as well
The ground is actually not supposed to be white - the white stones is symbolic for 'negative space' - so they will be left untattoed on his skin, to appear as though they are both skin, as well as some kind of terra cotta tile (which is why I made the shadows somewhat skin colored.
And the tattoo may be scaled up or down digitally - though in his case I believe it will need to be scaled down just slightly.
