Now this valentine I obviously put a tad more work and research into... I don't want to sell it, I can't bear to part with it! I'm going to try to print them instead.The hearts pattern is real! I took it from an ancient amphora, Three Revelers. (in all likelihood they're really just leaves). The hieroglyphs underneath are just made up, though the one on the far left might accidentally be "to eat" WHOOPS...
Added a little more modulation than was customary to the painted figures because it'd be boring otherwise...! And oh man was I nervous painting in the lineart HOO...
