Description EDIT: I lower the blue hue tone and added a bit of a bump to the white moon.

So, here is the updated version. I might or might not add an asteroid belt here. and the night lights are proving to be a true pain.

Made with: 3DS Max and maps with Photoshop

thanks!!! yeah it took quite a while to make the texture for the land and all that, but came out cool. I need to make more and different ones too. i guess all my space renders will look the same if i always take a shot of the same one

Wow, I love your space scene (although is it too blue?) And the detail in the planets is fantastic! How did you make the maps for the planets? (Also, any tricks to the starfield itself?

Hey thanks! yeah it IS too blue, I actually corrected it already, and added bump map into the white moon. Ive been lazy to re-upload it, besides, i dont know if i can actually upload in the spot of the old picture witout deleting the texts and all. probably an update of some sort.

for the maps of the planets, i used actual satelite maps from earth, lol and then made my own continents. this wasnt actually my idea, I read it from a tutorial for planet maps. ill post the link here.

and for the starfield, ive been experimenting with brushes AND the typical noise-brightness and contrast thing. If your unfamiliar, i can message you more detailed with it

You could always add it as a new piece, and make this one your "work in progress" version. But you should be able to re-upload the image without losing your text or comments.

I've been trying to get a good technique for a starfield recently, for this piece ([link] ). I like what I have, but still feel I can use some tips to make it better. So yeah, if you have any pointers, let me know.

I hope to see your finished work soon.

uuuu very niiice
aunque la cercania de cuerpos celestes de tal magnitud crearia ondas gravitacionales que seguramente partirian a los planetas en pedazos ^_^
