I created a fairy who is a hybrid between a humming bird and an imp, it possesses the power to generate light heat to stay warm, see in the dark, search for mates, and cook berries and bugs to eat. It flaps its wings rapidly to create the illusion of fire to scare away predators. It's feathers becomes more vivid and gains a golden sheen as it ages, but this makes them hunted by humans who believe wearing their feathers in their clothing wards away evil spirits.
Done in markers, colored pencils, and gel pens.
