Description Harpies are usually ugly, mean birds with the head of an old woman, but this one is a bit different. She's probably related with those colorful birds of paradise
As you've probably noticed, she holds an egg in her claw. I want to make a background someday where you can see that she snatched it from a dragon's nest, with mommy dragon flying towards her... hehe, brave harpy

Thanks! I think I cheated a bit with photoshop and changed the lighting, that's what I usually do with drawings... The original drawing probably looks a bit less white

I can't afford Photoshop, so I have to make do with Microsoft paint :-D

Paint can work as well I think fooling around with the brightness and contrast of the image improves it a lot very easily, and far less fancy programs than Photoshop can do that

thanks! the last time I used coloured pencils was quite long ago, I'm glad the colours turned out well

This is really exquisite!! In my opinion, the usual "cruel & ugly" harpies are the result of sexism & this is probably far more like the real being. You've created something seriously beautiful here!!

thank you! haha, I agree, harpies should be more beautiful well... until they grow old and lose feathers, but they must be young and beautiful at a certain point in their life
